The Centre has an excellent team of dedicated personnel. The technical officers have vast experience in the field of copper and copper alloys starting from manufacture to application of all types of products, trouble shooting, assisting industries in adopting new technologies, product development, conducting/assisting in applied research, market analysis and market development activities. Access to technical data and information from other parts of the world, help in continuous upgrading of their expertise.
The Centre has a well documented library having a large collection of books on all aspects of copper and its alloys. In addition, there are over 30,000 select technical articles collected from various parts of the world since its inception. Presently computerised literature search is carried out on behalf of the enquirer.
The collection of over 3500 slides, video films and CD-ROMS are a unique asset which are used by the officers while delivering lectures or conducting training courses.
The Centre's close association with the INTERNATIONAL COPPER ASSOCIATION LTD, and world wide COPPER CENTRES help greatly in carrying out some of its activities.
INTERACTION WITH R&D ORGANISATIONS
The Centre works closely with several R&D organisations to carry out R&D and investigating activities. Some of such organisations are Bengal Engineering College (D.U), Shibpur; Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur; Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai; National Test House, Calcutta; University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad; etc. In addition, testing facilities of Government approved testing laboratories are used as and when required.

This is one of the strongest resources of the Centre. The member industries lend active support in implementation of all its programmes. Support is received in both cash and kind.
