Dr. D. De Sarkar, Chief Executive Officer, ICDC, set the ball rolling with his opening address to the participants. He said how the end users have become more demanding as regards the quality of the metal product they use and so the manufacturers need to control not only their processing parameters but also should have suitable testing facilities. He also added that not only finished product testing but also in-process testing is a must now. The following technical papers were presented.
